The tragedy of the Titanic sinking killed a lot of people. Although many people died on the Titanic there were 706 survivors total counting the passengers and the crew. There were only 492 passengers and only 214 crew members to survive the Titanic.
Millvina Dean:
Millvina was Branscombe, England on February 2, 1912, Millvina Dean was only nine weeks old when she rode on the Titanic with her parents and brother. When the ship hit an iceberg and sank, she became its youngest survivor. Only Millvina, her mother, and her brother were survivors, but her father was not as lucky he was one of the people who perished in the tragedy of the Titanic. She didn't even know she was ever on the fateful ship, Titanic, until she was 8 years old. Mr. Harry Anderson was born in Scarborough, Yorkshire on October 20, 1864, and went to the United States in his youth. He was a Wall Street stockbroker and was married to the former Flora Makley, daughter of John F. and Anna E. Makley. The Andersons had no children. Mrs Anderson did not make the trip with her husband and had remained in New York. Harry Anderson's wife Florence Makley Anderson died on December 7, 1937 and He died on November 23, 1951. Elisabeth Walton Allen:
Miss Elisabeth Walton Allen was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA on October 1, 1882, the daughter of George W. Allen, a St. Louis judge, and Lydia McMillan. Mennell, and was going home to St. Louis to collect her belongings in preparation for moving to England where she would live with her future husband." She escaped with her relatives on one of the last boats to leave the Titanic. After the sinking, Elisabeth filed a $2,427.80 claim against the White Star Line for the lost of personal property in the disaster.
Samuel L. Goldenberg:
Mr. Samuel was born in New York City on September 8, 1864. Samuel Goldenberg and his wife Nella lived in Riverdale-on-Hudson, New York, they moved to Paris in 1905. They were well known as dog fanciers, with their kennel name being "Nellcote".
In April 1912 the couple were travelling from Berlin, Germany to New York City. Nella and Sam Goldenberg divorced in France. He remained in France the rest of his life. His second wife, Edwiga, died in France in 1935.
